Job Description

This role is key to the success of both the pilot and full-scale lithium operations. The successful candidate manages the operation of the pilot plant, production, and the generation of data which is they key product of the plant along with producing battery quality lithium hydroxide monohydrate for customers. You will be assisted by the chief Plant Engineer and team.

Serving as a liaison between field activities and the engineering group, your ability to manage a small team, ensure efficient operation of plant equipment, distil data into useful information, and communicate to a wide array of stakeholders will determine your success. You will ensure that the operation complies with all environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements, and you will serve as first escalation step in case of required support. Communicating with technical partners you will optimize pilot plant operations and secure all expertise needed for construction of full plant.

This is a high growth opportunity role that is expected to step up to be the manager of a commercial plant

Job Requirements

• Proven track record of leading and management of chemical plant
• Experience of management of production teams preferable in the context of new process development
• Experience of chlor-alkali plant management
• Proven execution skills, capable of getting things done even under high pressure
• Strong QA/QC background preferred
• Experience working with external technical partners a bonus
• Fluency in German / English is essential
