Chemical Search International is delighted to welcome Tony to our expanding BD team to develop our executive search activities in the sulphur and sulphuric acid trading sphere and chemicals trading activities more generally.

Based in Switzerland, Tony has more than 20 years experience in the trading of sulphur and its derivatives having worked 9 years with Interacid Trading where he was VP Trading for Sulphur and amongst others with Quantum Fertilisers Ltd, the Hong Kong based trading subsidiary of Australia’s leading phosphate producer Incitec-Pivot.

Since 2014 Tony has acted as an independent consultant for the procurement of sulphur and sulphuric acid. For 5 years, he was closely associated with Dubai based trading house BGN International, helping manage their almost 2 million tons/year sulphur trading business. In early 2021, Tony decided to take a step back from day-to-day trading activities and focus on his consulting activities and other interests. Tony is the Owner of LinkedIn Group Sulphur Professionals which currently boasts almost 1’000 members.

Tony graduated with a Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry from the University of Bristol, UK in 1985. He also has a MBA from Warwick University, UK. Prior to trading, Tony worked in corporate research, process engineering, product development and technical sales in crude oil processing for BP and Akzo Nobel in the UK, France and The Netherlands.
