Your Profile (Personal or Group)

You can have a Personal or Group account (or both provided different email addresses are used). Group is a shared account you can access with colleagues to pool benefits; like the HR department of a company so you can all access job ads etc. If you share your login details with colleagues, you can all access the account (see T&C’s)

Complete your profile in as much detail as you are happy to share. The more the better if you want to be found. You must complete the essential fields to fully access the site. When the progress bar hits 100% you are ready. Although you must select a Main Sector, you can still access and be found in any sector. For Group accounts then not all fields will apply but the essential ones are generic and needed. All sections of your profile are searchable. Your CV / Resume is not searchable (and only visible to those with an Executive subscription).

Note 1: In a search you may see profiles in the early days of our site which lack detail or are poorly formatted. These profiles were imported from our earlier network and any issues are simply a result of the import process. These will be updated over time.

Jobs Wanted / Career Help / Coaching

Jobs Wanted advertising: Free advertising for yourself if you are actively looking for a job and want to get noticed. Just activate Jobs Wanted via your My Profile area. This will display you on the Jobs Wanted section of your main Sector, plus adds a blue button to your profile saying you are looking for opportunities (linked to your posting). You can edit or stop this via My Profile / Jobs Wanted at any time.

1-1 Career Advice: If you have an Executive subscription get professional advice on your CV / Resume and other questions related to job applications courtesy of our sister business, Chemical Search, one of the world’s leading executive search firms for the chemicals and related sectors. We offer this service on request subject to availability and terms.

Executive Coaching: If you have an Executive subscription we have partnerships with accredited professional coaches, many of whom specialise in STEM related fields and who have worked in these sectors. We can offer introductions and specialist rates for their services. to discuss services offered please contact us.

Searching / Viewing

Search for anyone you like in the Members search bar and their profile will appear regardless of which sector you, or they, are in. The Member search works with a keyword search, just enter words separated by a space. These are ‘and’ searches, so the more words you use the tighter the search and fewer results will appear. This searches all words in profiles, including drop-down choices. You can also use the filters. Matching search terms are highlighted in yellow so easy to spot.

Groups / Lists – COMING SOON

You can save people of interest in lists which you create. There is no limit to the number of these you can create, which can be edited or deleted any time. You can use these lists for any purpose you choose.

Messaging People

You can send a message via our internal messaging system to anyone you like, as often as you like (subject to fair usage, see Terms ). Messages and replies trigger an email to the user’s external email. You can also add pdf attachments to your message if you wish. There is no cost for the messaging service or requirement to ‘link’ to the person first. The only limitation is that the required fields of your profile must be complete before you can access My Messages and use this feature. We ask that you respect others’ privacy with the same respect you would hope they give you and ensure any messages you send are appropriate and comply with your Terms.

Privacy Mechanisms

If required, you can block individual members from contacting you again if you wish via My Messages . You can also disable alerts people may send to you using our Search & Alert feature about new Jobs, Events or Marketplace items. These can be toggled on/off at will. If you have a more serious concern about a particular member’s messages, postings or behaviour please Contact us. We promise to investigate all requests promptly.

Group Messaging – COMING SOON

If you have Business membership you can send a message to any or all members of any list or group you create with one click. This is perfect for sending alerts, invitations or announcements to a group of people quickly and discreetly, as recipients are unaware of the other recipients.

Articles

This is a free-to-use, sector-specific place to post articles, discussion or thought pieces, provided you have completed the required fields on your profile. All posts are moderated for content before being made live. Anyone can reply to an article and the author is alerted by email so you can start a discussion. You can add a main image to your article and embed images and/or links. You can also upload a pdf document (to 5MB). You can choose to post on up to all sectors if you wish.

Please note: We respectfully ask that you do not use this section to advertise things – please use the paid Jobs, Events or Marketplace pages for this which are more prominent and include our unique Search & Alert functionality to rapidly connect with people. Any obvious advertisements or questionable content will not be posted. Thanks for your understanding.

Intelligence

If you have content you would like to share such as helpful videos, sector-specific presentations, reports, white papers or other intelligence you can suggest it to us to display on our Intelligence pages. We will review it and upload if appropriate. Please ensure that any content you send us is in the public domain and/or you have any required permissions before sending it.

NobleNet will check all suggestions to the best of our ability but cannot be responsible for errors or omissions. The sender is wholly responsible for ensuring content is suitable for our audience, free from any viruses or malware before sending and does not break any of our Terms.

Intelligence is being built to be a library of sector-rich information. Much of the content such as specialist presentations from sector events is not readily available and has value.

Job Advertising

You need to purchase an Executive subscription to advertise. Anyone can do this. While live you can post as many separate posts as you like.

Advertisers can choose to post the same advertisement on up to five sectors of interest and display the post for as long as needed by selecting an end date. Candidates can be collected via NobleNet or via a link to your external site.

Advertisers can use the Search & Alert feature to precisely search the database for suitable people and send an automated alert to them to view the posting (subject to fair usage, see Terms). Your My Profile / My Advertisements displays a list of all your postings so you can edit or manage posts live.

Talent Acquisition Service

This is offered for clients who would like us to help in the recruitment process. We advertise for you across up to 5 relevant sectors for 2 months, post the role on our available social media channels, search for and alert possible candidates from the NobleNet database, screen incoming candidates using our specialist recruitment partner and send you the best talent for your follow up. This service costs just £595 (or FX equivalent). Payment is by invoice in GBP Sterling, US Dollars, Euros. Contact us to discuss.

Events Advertising

You need to purchase an Executive subscription to advertise. Anyone can do this. While live you can post as many separate posts as you like.

Advertisers can choose to post the same advertisement on up to five sectors of interest. Events advertisements last until the start date of the event so you can choose to advertise many months in advance. Whether your event is virtual or physical, the advertisement can carry an image of your event and link to to your external site or video channel.

Media Partnerships

If you are interested in free advertising via a media partnership, please get in touch. We have a long history of successfully helping boost attendance on events worldwide. We have different levels of partnership. Our basic agreement means you advertise free on our site in exchange for listing our logo / text as a media partner. We can be more proactive in helping you however in return for a complimentary event ticket or other marketing exposure for our business. We are happy to discuss suggestions you may have. Business Advertising

Advertisers can choose to post the same advertisement on up to five sectors of interest and display the post for as long as needed by selecting an end date. Advertise your company, products or services on Marketplace, our version of Classifieds. The advertisement can carry an image of your company, products or services or you can display your company video if you prefer. There is a link to your external site plus you can upload a company brochure or presentation if you wish.

Reciprocal Marketing

If you are interested in free advertising via some reciprocal marketing, please get in touch. We can offer different degrees of free advertising on our site if you display our banner on your site or promote us in some capacity. Contact us to discuss.

Advertising Banners

Why not promote your organisation or message more prominently by placing an advertising banner on our site? You can place a horizontal (Leaderboard) banner at the bottom of the Homepage and main pages of the site (Join NobleNet, Login, About Us, Benefits, User Guide, Contact Us). You can also place a vertical (Skyscraper) banner on any of the 12 Sectors of the site which are most relevant, plus on My Messages, My Contacts and My Account which every user, across every sector will see.

All slots are randomised and rotating slots which refresh on page load. The Sector ads remain visible as viewers select any of the different sections of each sector. We plan to have a maximum of 10-15 banners per slot at any one time and displayed pricing is based on this number. We therefore cannot guarantee your advert will show all the time but it should be seen frequently, especially early in the life of our site.
